GGU, A Safe Haven

At Girl Get Up (GGU), our mission goes beyond empowerment; it's a journey of resilience, love, and unwavering support. Founded by Monique Payne, a woman who faced and conquered her own battles, GGU is a beacon of hope for those navigating challenges.

Monique's vision stems from a deeply personal place. Having overcome domestic violence, depression, anxiety, homelessness, and addiction, she understands the struggles many women face. Her transparency about her ongoing journey creates a unique connection, breaking down judgment and fostering an environment of understanding.

GGU is more than an outreach ministry; it's a sanctuary where every woman is treated with utmost respect, dignity, and love, regardless of the challenges she may be confronting. Vulnerability, Monique believes, is a God-given gift that allows her to relate authentically, offering a comforting hand to those who need it most.

Our sole purpose is to be God's hands and feet in the earth, manifesting this divine mission through a variety of services. From job readiness classes, workshops, and seminars to support groups for women struggling with infertility, GGU extends a hand of support to diverse needs.

We understand the unique struggles of mothers, whether they are teenagers, single moms, low-income, or first-time mothers. Our mentorship programs and tailored services aim to uplift and empower every woman and young lady on her unique journey.

While we've embarked on this empowering mission, there's much more we aspire to achieve. As a new and unique 501(c)(3) Nonprofit, we need your help to expand our reach and impact. Your support will enable us to offer even more services, touching the lives of countless women.

Join us on this journey of empowerment, love, and purpose. Together, we can be the change we wish to see in the lives of women around us. Visit our website to learn more and be part of the GGU family.
